"Nature in itself has a soundtrack. You just have to stop and listen.
I started with field recordings on Pender Island. I would walk around and record sounds found on the island, such as the pine siskin birds and the wind rustling in the trees, and the sound of the water that surrounds the area. Anything that captivated or piqued my ear as something that I know would be hard to hear anywhere else.
I then layered and manipulated these field recordings and use of instrumentation to create soundscapes to be used in the film."
