Champagne Aura single

A toast for my new single “Champagne Aura” 🥂

I wrote this song many years ago when I had to learn that not all that glitters is gold and not all minerals are worth mining for (ie. blood diamond, unethical nature and child exploitation of mining for mica). Cubic zirconia is a popular plastic, fake diamond used in a lot of cheap jewellery (that speaks for itself). I got the lyric champagne aura because the person who inspired this song had an aura like champagne, and the song naturally subsequently flowed out. I originally wrote this song on the ukulele (sounds completely different). Overtime, it developed into what it is today with the influences of rock, a bit of psychedelia and experimental sounds. I kept picturing someone singing this at a speakeasy in the 1920s and that drove the creative direction. This is one of many to come, my Junebugs. Stay tuned (I assure you, it will be worth the wait)
